Nancy Christy-Moore

Born in NewRochelle, NY, USA 1941

I began painting full time in California in the early '80's and continue to paint and teach workshops. I grew up and was educated mainly in the midwest and have lived in California, Kansas, and recently relocated to Arizona.

Over the years of painting (more than 25 now)I've developed my style of "Inner Painting" taking my love of color, texture and movement from an abstract beginning to development of images suggested on the paper or canvas. Inspired by my love of horses particularly those in the wild, I find their images emerging most often and enjoy projecting in the Horse Series the feeling of freedom and joy they inspire in me. At times the beauty of nature and love of the floral world inspires me and the Blooms Series continues. Wherever the "muse" leads, I follow gladly!

Educated at Columbia College in Columbia, MO, American Academy of Art in Chicago, IL, and Art Center School in Los Angeles, CA.

To date I've had over 20 solo exhibits in California, Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Japan and many group exhibits in addition.,
