Nicholas D'Angelo

Nicholas D’Angelo, born in Newark, NJ, attended Montclair State University, earning a B.A. in art in 1996 and an M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2000. His work centers on themes of action, speed of movement, and thought, and has been showcased at various galleries and museums.

Notable exhibitions include a live showing of his video work at the Individual Deconstruction festival in Ypsilanti, MI. In June 2001, he participated in the Unbecoming show at Soil Gallery in Seattle, WA. He has also exhibited at the Detroit Contemporary and participated in the Film: Eclectic Collection of Short Films festival at the Pierro Gallery in South Orange, NJ.

In 2012, D’Angelo exhibited at the International Art Festival at the Museum of Russian Art in Jersey City. He displayed work at the 2016 NEXT up Gallery National Show in Denver, and in the 2015 Art by America show in Chicago. Additionally, he was featured in Creative Quarterly’s website in issues #42 (2016) and #57 (2020). More recently, in 2021, he was part of the Luminosity exhibition at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod and in 2022 participated in “Blackout” at Art on 30th in San Diego.
