Nimea Ariana

As an artist, I create immersive works through painting, drawing, writing, sculpture and textiles exploring the intersection of art and spirituality. Through my creation-based research practice, I explore themes of life, death and creative intellect, by studying the metaphysical, mystical, meditative and transcendental experiences that instil such life-altering, out-of-body experiences.

My process transcribes the shamanic visions I experience as a means to bring thought into form. It’s here I research how form and function play a role in the space between the physical and non-physical aspects of our reality. My work seeks to immerse the viewer in an experience that transcends the physical realm by uniting them with the spiritual dimension, inviting the viewer to explore the infinite boundaries of our consciousness and the mystery of our existence.
