Olcay Orun

The process of sedentism has transformed into an almost organic structure at the present time, crushing the nature and human with its power as it loses its sheltering , sharing and social interaction-based roles through history.
Based on the old and new building’s images, I aim to reflect our mental damages through the overwhelming strength of concrete jungles; empty spaces that free of individuals; unsubstantialness as a result of progressing construction/conversion processes; temporality; disengagement from time frame.
I like to use different materials and different techniques in my works. Using recycled and natural objects or materials. I also very İnterested with experimental archaeology and preparing some 3D models related with prehistoric times.
