Maria Regia Parmiani

Parmarè, acronym of Maria Regia Parmiani, was born in Comacchio (FE). In 1972 she enrolled at the Ravenna Academy of Fine Arts, attending courses in mosaic, painting, engravings (student of Maestro Tono Zancanaro) and decorations. In 1977 he moved permanently to Ravenna. From 1979 to 1982 in her constant travels, always together with her husband passionate about art, she met the masters Remo Brindisi, Mino Maccari, Ernesto Treccani and attended their studies, gaining a wealth of unique intellectual and artistic knowledge. From 1983 until 1993 he slowed down his artistic activity to devote himself full time to the growth and education of his child. His painting continues to be figurative, but over the years he begins to glimpse something different that tends towards geometric abstraction. The turning point came in 2008 when he completely abandoned the figurative to devote himself to constructivist abstraction using the sprinkling brush technique. He currently lives and works in Ravenna.
