About Pasquale Mascia

I'm a street photographer in Milano, Italy. I graduated at Civica Scuola di Fotografia in Milano: Giovanni Chiaramonte was my teacher and presented my first personal exhibition. I worked as interiors photographer, then as still photographer.
I realised various black and white portfolios. I worked and still work with istant films too, Polaroid and Fuji.
I'm interested in transient aspects of town: under construction urban areas drawing provisional itineraries and facades, shadows blades as temporary borders, paper faces looking at unaware people from city walls, people and statues as embodying angels passing by. I costantly photograph South Italy and mediterranean lands in general as places of mystery and memory.
I'm still in love with black and white film and I alternate different formats: 35mm, 4,5x6cm, 6x6cm, 6x7cm, panoramic.
