ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is inspired by the bokeh effect in photography; however, in this collage, I bring the bokeh or 'out of focus' lights of color as the point of focus, highlighting the color bubbles amidst a structural, abstract, cityscape like background. Layers of acrylic for the base of this piece, upon which I collage painted papers, decorative papers, repurposed coffee filters, and monoprinted papers. Signed and dated on the reverse.
