About The Artwork
I wanted to create and thus exorcise a large figure in my past who was stupid, weak, cruel and insensitive. Using a print of a painting I painted as a child, I hope my viewers will be able to read the symbolism in this artwork. After he lay in an empty sarcophagus adopting the god pose when we were in Egypt, I've placed him in the darkened Grand Gallery to the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid, portraying him in an eternal hell. Child abuse in any form is unacceptable!

I was born in South Africa and then studied for at Rhodes University under professor Brian Bradshaw. I lived in Northwestern British Columbia, Canada for 9 years. and during that time opened an art gallery (with gift shop), and a working studio where I painted and taught people to do the same. Although being a landscape painter using pastel has been a lifelong love, I now explore other media in an effort to express my strong thoughts and emotions\ .
