ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Prone is an abstract figural piece I made in 2019. It was inspired by the work of Manuel Neri and his representation of the female figure. The saturated color contrasts with the silhouetted form resulting in a piece that will engage the viewer and warm a room. Layers of acrylic on canvas with paper collage and gesso provide the depth to the piece. Enveloped in a thin wooden frame made by the artist, the work is ready to hang.
