"The Woman" series, 4 out of 4 Print

This is a first out of four collages in "The Woman" series that is inspired by Ukrainian music and theatre band "Schmalgauzen" song called "Grey dress" ("Сіра сукня") lyrics. This song describes a young lady who is way too old-fashioned for her era but extremely classy and desired. The band sings and ode to the character of the lady in a very poetic way mixing music and theatre genres. Every collage in the series is inspired by a particular line in the song, depicting the image I see while listening to it. The first collage says "I put woman's love in a porte-monnaie". By creating collages inspired by Ukrainian poems and lyrics I depict the picture drawn by imagination while reading the poem/lyrics, so all of these art works are a depictions of how my imagination works.
