Art Description

Collage: Paper, Paint, Acrylic, Graphite, Monotype on Canvas.

The circle has been present in my artwork for many years. As an ancient symbol in many cultures it represents infinity, being complete, being whole and the cycle of life.To create my collage paintings I works with different kinds of paper and acrylic paint.

My work for me represents the cyclic nature of everything living as well as the process of every day life; collecting experiences, impressions and places, getting older, remembering and forgetting.
This collage on canvas is framed in an off white light weight wooden box frame that I handpainted with acrylic paint.

For my collages I use handmade papers as well as bought and found papers and print material, acrylic paint and graohite. In the process of layering with paper and paint all the papers are embedded in acrylic medium. To make sure that the artwork is highly light-fast I use GOLDEN Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers).
