Alice 10- In the dark Print

Imagination is the only weapon in the war with reality- Lewis Carroll wrote in Alice in Wonderland; Visual Euphoria is the sensation I experience when I travel and see new vistas, and places I haven’t been before, its that sigh or gasp that brings that pleasure, the scent of the flora and fauna of a place, that helps me battle reality. I seek to create visual candy from my travels that incorporate the most potent photographs and memories from each location, inspired by ikebana and the wonderment of Alice in Wonderland. As an artist I find joy in the absorption of visual inspiration. As a teacher I seek to find a method to allow my mind and soul to sail away to other places, teaching; we are subject to anxiety and compassion fatigue, travel and creation are my escape. My collages of imagery combine, the overlay of the dirt of my sinks after brushes are washed out, the ceiling in my classroom over the beauty of exquisite places and plants. Creation of these allows me to bring to terms the summation of my existence, why I make, where I seek to find beauty and inspire creation.
