ABOUT THE ARTWORK
There is evidently a strange collective psychosis in social media. Social media seems to have a bias toward becoming anti-social media. This work started to reflect on the many current conspiracy theories that surface in social media comments, theories that seem to cover everything from the origin of civilisation to its portended doom. Lost in such theories people drift toward tribal concepts and the malevolent control of the other. Ironically it is just people addicted to their phones and networks locked in an ethereal nothingness. Here the mood of community and systems are portrayed by loose geometry and repetition, naive marks, scratchiness and loss of focus.

I was a painter to begin. I started doing computer art in the late 70s, programmed at first but then evolving into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes, because of digital media I also retrieve and revisit old work when it merits it.
