Crimson Tides Print - Limited Edition of 50

As the creator of Crimson Tides, I wanted to capture the dynamic, fluid nature of water through an abstract lens. The piece features a series of islands made up of rich, deep purples, with subtle flecks of cream and indigo adding a sense of depth and complexity to the overall composition. These islands almost resemble a compilation of shards of rocks, each with their own unique texture and identity. Despite their individuality, the islands are unified by the sea of black surrounding them, coming together to create a cohesive digital image that conveys a sense of balance and harmony. The abstract nature of the piece allows the viewer to interpret it in their own unique way, inviting them to immerse themselves in the flow and movement of the colors and shapes. When creating Crimson Tides, I was inspired by the natural world and the way that water can be both calming and powerful. I wanted to capture that duality in an abstract way, creating a sense of movement and energy that could be felt on an emotional level. I hope that viewers of the piece will feel a sense of tranquility and relaxation, while also being inspired to reflect on the interconnectivity of all things. I chose to work with digital media for this piece because of the versatility and flexibility it offers, allowing me to create a sense of fluidity and movement that would be more difficult to achieve with traditional media. The subject matter and style were also a natural fit for the abstract approach, allowing me to explore the depth and complexity of the colors and shapes without being constrained by representational forms.
