ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a new original digital image which I altered from a new original gouache painting I channeled. going into a meditative state, this is one of my many spirit guides which has decided to come thru me in art ( physical form). My spirit guides are neither male nor female but may look gender specific. This spirit guide whom I have titled " spirit Guide guardian" assists me with personal healing and the healing of others. Several decades while in Upstate New York, I had a series of dreams of visions in which these guides revealed themselves to me. I was given information by them and honestly at the time, I thought it was b.s. yet it was later confirmed by a stranger that the information I had received by these guides was in fact very real. A short time later they assisted me in healing someone who was in a coma ( thousands miles away) and all the doctors said this person was supposed to die. Since this is a channeled image, it is quite powerful. I can't make any claims that this image will heaL you but this is the story and it is real-deal.

I was admitted on the spot to the San Francisco Art Institute upon showing the Dean of Admissions my portfolio of Thurberesque Drawings with funny captions. Much of my artistic inspiration from my flea market finds ( vintage & rare ephemera), my huge unusual vintage, children's book collection, dance & burlesque performances, icons, symbols and images from all kinds of religions and my exploration into personal relationships. Although I have a distinctive style, I have explored many mediums- collage, painting, drawing, print making & fabric design, digital art. Some of my work is pretty and decorative but I also create ugly & raw paintings. These self therapy paintings are meant to be ugly and humourous . Kitsch, fashion, phtography, film, Children's art, German expressionism, Matisse, Dufy, Nolde, Redon as well as unknown outsider & folk+ art brut artists are have contributed to my style. My new website May 2022 As of February 2013, I have published my first children's ebook LULU LOOKS FOR LOVE which is available on Amazon. Old Website - 2019 Two month art residency in the Berkshires, MA and created a series of 30 paintings and drawings.
