About The Artwork

Drawing: Ink on Paper. Calligraphy meaning : "A truly beautiful life is the humility of enduring the pain of falling." _'A message of rain' by Hae-in Lee I am working to convey the meaning and beauty of true architecture by drawing Hanok and writing Hangul. I think Hanok and Hangul are the most beautiful buildings and letters in the world. As I majored in architecture, I know the charm of hanok better than anyone else, and share the beauty of hanok with the world and heal the hearts of modern people. My artworks show how to empty little by little and how to return to the basics. I think the true beauty lies in emptying. You have to empty it as much as you can and be as concise as you can to see yourself. I'm constantly thinking about what I want to pursue, and the results have eventually become "Korean" elements. It is the most obvious thing to express myself. For modern people full of anxiety, what they need is to get rid of useless thoughts and go back to the basics. Emptiness makes me so peaceful.

'Black' like a dot on a white drawing paper can be the meaningful calligraphy and it cleans the mind. I want to express my value to the fullest with that least condensed black dot.
