ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Kiepja (sings): I'm here singing, the wind carries me, I am following in the footsteps of those who left. . I have been allowed to come to the mountain of power. . I have reached the great mountain range of heaven, way to the house of heaven. . The power of those who left returns to me. . Those of the infinite have spoken to me. " Traditional Cultures • Patagonia End of a world The Selknam of Tierra del Fuego The Selknam people were completely exterminated, approximately 3000 people living in Tierra del Fuego. Here, the original peoples are still persecuted in a brutal war, with violated children, persecuted communities and many deaths, all for destroying a majestic territory that they have preserved with brilliance since the arrival of the Spanish. This courage, the Newen that lives in their souls, is a great inspiration for my work, as well as making visible the richness of the cultures that still live in these territories and once and for all that we have access to peace, respect and honor. . The realistic language of the drawing and the golden acrylic that symbolizes this energy (newen) are the materials that I have found to capture this feeling.
