About The Artwork
Abstract Arabic calligraphy for the large letters (random letters, no literary meanings), I used arabic letters as artistic tools. With the thin letters I wrote a poem of Antar ibn Chaddad: أُعاتِبُ دَهراً لا يَلينُ لِعاتِبِ وَأَطلُبُ أَمناً مِن صُروفِ النَوائِبِ وَتوعِدُني الأَيّامُ وَعداً تَغُرُّني وَأَعلَمُ حَقّاً أَنَّهُ وَعدُ كاذِبِ خَدَمتُ أُناساً وَاِتَّخَذتُ أَقارِب لِعَوني وَلَكِن أَصبَحوا كَالعَقارِبِ يُنادونَني في السِلمِ يا اِبنَ زَبيبَةٍ وَعِندَ صِدامِ الخَيلِ يا اِبنَ الأَطايِبِ وَلَولا الهَوى ما ذَلَّ مِثلي لِمِثلِهِم وَلا خَضَعَت أُسدُ الفَلا لِلثَعالِبِ Ink on paper white-grey upon delivery the artwork will be sent rolled up and not framed.
