First Valkyrie Freyja is linked to the war. Going through the battlefields, she receives half the warriors who died in battle in her Sessrumnir ("Room with many seats"), while Odin receives the other half in his hall, Valhöll (Valhalla). To explain this sharing of Einherjar ("fighting warriors alone") between Odin and Freyja, the warriors assigned to Odin would be those who devote their lives to the war and the battles that we call the offensive, the warriors devolving to Freyja being those who fight to protect their families their clans and their property, which we call defenses. She knows the sejdhr, a type of shamanism that allows the soul to travel and see the future and destiny of men; and learned astral art from Odin. Freyja embodies freedom and subtle power. Freya embodies not only Luxurious nature but also Lustful nature and Lush nature.
