About The Artwork
The Woolworth Building is an early American skyscraper designed by architect Cass Gilbert located at 233 Broadway in Manhattan, New York City. It was the tallest building in the world from 1913 to 1930, with a height of 792 feet. My drawing depicts the Woolworth building as if a sheet of rain poured down onto the city with its shimmering colors making the top of the building reveal its magnificent crown and glass cathedral windows below it.
