About The Artwork

I have been working with Siberian Fir charcoal for the last twenty years. I love the rich blacks that this charcoal creates which is virtually indelible, once a line is created it cannot be removed. The work is created quickly letting the image come forth, many times even astonishing me. Because of the velocity at which I work many times I can only produce two drawings a day because of exhaustion. I draw using both hands, holding the charcoal in alternate hands while the free hand guides the charcoal over the surface. To see more of my work please visit my site at Enjoy
