Kate Lee Lim Kate Lee is a professional painter and creative for more than 30 years. Born and raised in South Korea, Kate graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Design and uprooted life to move to the United States. I currently reside in Dallas, Texas, where she continues to teach individuals while creating paintings and arranging floral decor in my spare time. Throughout my tireless life journey, the one consistent talent she holds is tied to my art. The subjects of my art are mainly people who have been on the journey of my life, longing, loneliness in life, and a woman’s life, daily life…. I paint what I deem fascinating; scenes rooted in nature, surrounded by life and vibrant color. With an affinity for depicting soft and tender moments, I paint what feels true to the experience of the image itself. Creating to engage with the world around me, my work mesmerizes viewers through imaginative scenes, abstract concepts, and skillful technique. I developed an increasing interest in floral design over the years alongside my traditional work. Similar to why my paints, I absorb myself in my creations by surrounding myself with life, this time through the physicality of flowers. Through alluring arrangements, her floral designs bring you into her worldview, where nature and belief coexist.
