ABOUT THE ARTWORK
ME, MYSELF AND I My Alter Ego handles with objects. Here I stand for the acting subject, which "grasps" things by handling them. The words in the drawings, which also take on the form of objects, characterize the process of grasping (dts.: ge-greifen), which takes place in reaching for the objects and which, in addition to the cognitive, is a physical, sensual process. The connection between doing and thinking becomes depictable as a mutually dependent event.
