ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Here, Goethe, the German writer is in the process of writing "Faust". The story starts with a dedication which are the words that appear in the illustration: "Was ich besitze, seh ich wie im Weiten, Und was verschwand, wird mir zu Wirklichkeiten" (I see what I have in the distance, And what has disappeared becomes a reality for me). This pen and ink illustration was created by Genya in March 2020 in his studio in Umbria, Italy. It is one of 6 original illustrations privately commissioned for Vol. 1 of Faust.
