I'm an Artist and Emergency Physician. I was hanging around the art scene in Lower Manhattan in the early 1980's as part of that lively and incredibly inventive time. As I veered from starving artist to a business repairing commercial and Government ships and doing commercial diving work I continued to make art. When I was shot in a botched attempt by some guys to steal my truck I began volunteering at the local ER where I was cared for. Through this work I went back to medical school at the age of 43 and became an Emergency Physician. I continue my work now with an entirely different view of life and death, and the world in general
