ABOUT THE ARTWORK

started my career as a film art director and special effects in the 1970s until now. and decided to retire from industrial filmmaking. Starting in 2021, at the age of 71, I spends my time to draw with the theme of horror, gore, movie scene. to remince the process of making Indonesian horror films in the 70-90s such as Mystics in Bali (1981), The Queen of Black Magic (1981)), The Devils. Sword (1984), Hell Raiders (1985), etc. This illustration is inspired by the iconic scene in the film Queen of Black Magic (1981).When people are attacked by the science of 'witchcraft', a magic that makes the whole body itchy, especially in the neck, is scratched into a wound, and it is not enough just to scratch, he pulls, he pushes the base of the head with his own hands which are unusually itchy, until the head is cut off
