Fiona Yu is an artist living and working in New York City. Her interests lie in exploring the complexities within abstract art while incorporating ideas of psychoanalysis, critical theories, constructivism, etc. into her artworks. She hope her audiences can connect with her artworks in a deep, meaningful way and even see/ reflect upon themselves. Yu's works are experimental and personal. Methods and the use of materials are influenced by those in the Renaissance and also the Contemporary. Yu endeavors to bring different methodology, tradition, culture together into her art, while keep experimenting different approaches to art through the process of making it. Yu's works have been exhibited at Artron Art Center (Shenzhen, China), Design Society (Shenzhen, China) and Bard College Art Studio (Annandale on Hudson, New York). She is currently working at in The Guggenheim Museum in New York.
