The Room Print

I looked into personal spaces and their significance, and questioned, 'what are the things that make a person feel protected or comfortable in an environment?' I realized that objects play a huge role in transforming a space into a shelter. Overall, this piece reflects my research on the importance of objects within spaces and the history that they may have. Each of the items in "The Room" is specifically linked to my most precious memories and thoughts inside my room and outside, whether it is positive or negative. The random positions of the objects as well as the different perspectives and angles highlight the disoriented state of mind during the lockdown. "It was as if the room started flipping around. I felt like I was inside of a rolling die."
