The sunny horse | series ‘roots’ Print

I was inspired by Ukrainian traditions and customs, specifically the practice of making charms out of straw or hay for protection and good luck. I was also inspired by the symbol of the "sunny horse," which represents creative energy, strength, luck, success, and the sun. I want the viewers to feel connected to the cultural heritage of Ukraine and the talismanic significance of the "sunny horse" amulet. I hope the viewers will feel that the artwork brings good luck and success in the new year. I chose simple paper and oil pastel as the medium because it allows for a simplistic representation of the subject matter. It is part of my cultural heritage.
