ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Drawing on prepared canvas with Charcoal. This artwork was created at the start of the coronavirus lockdown, during a period of adjustment and transition. The lockdown presented a unique opportunity for artists to reflect on the pandemic and its impact on society. In response, I drew a woman who appears confined, in an attempt to express my feelings through drawing. The woman's posture and expression convey a sense of vulnerability and uncertainty, which were common emotions during the early stages of the pandemic. Through this artwork, I aimed to capture the mood of the moment and to offer a visual representation of the challenges we faced during this difficult time.
