About The Artwork
Overview: This work recalls my very first art experiment on doodling over magazines. In 2002 I started to use as a canvas some fashion pages to create altered images. The fancy and attractive models has been switched in fearsome creatures as witches, ghosts and many other monsters of some sort. Enjoy a nostalgia moment of mine, I kinda missed it. Materials used: Pens on vintage magazine cover (Life magazine, 1939). Important notes: • This is an original contemporary illustration realised over a vintage magazine cover. • All the works have clear signs of wear and tear, and needs to be handled with care. • My artworks are based on vintage found objects (photos, postcards, LP covers, etc.), so they are one of a kind. • The piece is sold with the whole magazine pages (see extra pictures).

Naomi Vona (Desio 1982), is an Italian artist based in London. The artist defines herself as an "archival parasite, with no bad intentions". Her works combines different interests like photography, collages and illustration. Her research is focused on altering vintage and contemporary found images, creating a new interpretation of the original shots. Using pens, paper, washi tape and stickers she gives to every image a new life.
