ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Zombabes is one of many artworks from Victoria's body positive series titled Be Your Own Breast. This drawing was done in 2015 with Pastels and Colored pencils. The aim of this work is to change women's perceptions of themselves and their bodies, particularly their breasts. Victoria struggled to accept her breasts growing up and realized she was not alone in this struggle. Practically all of her girlfriends and every woman she knew had this problem; no love for their bodies due to the media's absurd and unrealistic portrayals of how a woman's body should look. This is why she began this series of artworks in 2014, and with her work Victoria was able to achieve self love and help many other women do so as well.
