ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work "Breath of Hope" was inspired by the artists Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, as well as my own life experiences. I hope that viewers of the work will feel a sense of sadness, longing, doubt, and steadfastness, while also recognizing the fragility of the situation depicted. I use oil pastel because it allows for a minimal, contemplative, and expressive representation of feelings and emotions. The subject matter and style were chosen to reflect the current state of mind and the current situation in Ukraine.
