ABOUT THE ARTWORK
One of many drawings from the mid 70s. I was drawn to a mixture of mysticism and science at the time. This manifested as a series of systematic drawings and finally computer generated movies about space folding in on itself and out of itself. This particular series of drawings ended up as 4ft square paintings which sadly, perhaps naturally, got burnt or binned. I suppose the esoteric only survives in religious contexts, nonetheless the appeal of geometry has stayed with me.

I was a painter to begin. I started doing computer art in the late 70s, programmed at first but then evolving into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes, because of digital media I also retrieve and revisit old work when it merits it.
