I am a mixed media artist living and working in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My artistic persona is NIZNAIU. Through it I want to cherish imperfection because it is a manifestation of the authenticity of human life. I love every trace left by my pencil, brush or scissors, and even more, the involuntary traces found everywhere, for the way they talk about the movement and the life that created them. Also, I am interested in the everyday feelings we have, the small things we go through emotionally moment by moment. I want to bring more focus to these details of our lives through my art because I believe that the wider our palette of feelings is the more we actually live. My artworks have a lot of textures and layers, they have an important gestural component and are intensely colored. In the creation process I start from imperfect surfaces, which I cover with paint strokes, drawn lines or glued elements. All the time I correct the previous interventions, cover or discover surfaces and textures until it all makes sense to me. I am fascinated by the reciprocity with which I shape the image in front of me, and in the very next moment, it starts to shape me, conditioning the way in which I continue.
