Balance Series: No 2 Installation

I love the ‘contemplative’ nature of Japanese Zen sand/rock gardens as well as the ‘mystical’ nature of ancient sacred circles and cairns. Influences of rock, boulder and stone placements can be seen in my ephemeral art. In my study and practice of natural and vibrational healing I've worked with the healing properties of flowers as well as those of crystals and gemstones. Working with crystals in my ephemeral art layouts, I aspire to be as sensitive as possible to how and where they are being placed and how their energy in the form of light, colour, shapes and textures will be embedded into the resulting images. In this image Blue Kyanite has been used to represent a structure that is delicately balanced. Blue Kyanite can help break any habitual emotional patterns, so that new pathways of energy can be created to bring an immediate shift in one’s perception of, and place in the world.
