About The Artwork

Installation, 6 pieces sculpture of glass from cars parts The Trap of the Flash A piece of glass on the ground. Its brightness caught my attention. Light produces flashes. I make constructions with glasses from car windows. This material has its own story, its own tale, that allows us to deduce something about someone, from the kind of breaking to its cause, its quality, its origin. A tale that lets us to read a social context, where it belongs, its lineage. It has a symbolic impression. Its breaking was the consequence of an act of violence. Because of a random event, an accident, vandalism, etc. The event creates a grid, a weaving on it. There are breakings that evoke danger, cause grief. Holes similar to bullet wounds, blows. It's scary. There, we can "see ourselves," because it creates a mirror effect. It changes colors. It's beautiful, looks like a precious stone, shines, glints. It invites us to touch it. It cuts.

She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a psychoanalyst graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires. Argentina My training and experience in clinical psychoanalysis has left a strong impression on my vision of art and of the world. My work is driven by the necessity to investigate the fragmentation of the human being, the body and its relationship with the world in which it inhabits. I start a work of art in an intuitive way using unconventional materials (nylon stockings, windshields from discarded cars, paraffin wax, etc), on the rigorous base that is derived from a close relationship between culture and nature, centering my look on the subject. The work methodology that I propose is fundamentally sustained by sculpture, installation and painting. The images of nature, its spirit, and its forms, as well as the erotic charges that they possess, are the triggers of the organic constructions that inhabit my work. The different media give me the possibility of representing the fragmentation (as an intrinsic and structural condition of the subject); the fragility, marks, identification and history. I represent the engimatic the body and its environment in a metaphoric way.
