About The Artwork
Project: 100 Dream Trees No. 3: "The Cēsis Dream Tree" (2019) Acrylic on wall, 2.5m x 2.8m Painted on an external wall at Noras iela 15, Cēsis, Latvia, May 2019. This mural is a celebration of the various aspects of Cēsis, a town in Latvia, and created during a 5-week residency from April-May 2019 with Rucka (http://www.rucka.lv/en/). It features iconic local landmarks such as the Cēsis Castle, the statues and stairs of the Castle Park, the Church of St John the Baptist, the local brewery Trimpus, ski slopes and the historical house that is Rucka Residency today. The mural was created with the support of Rucka Residency and the Cesis 3rd Preschool Educational Institution, where it is permanently located.
