About Po-Tsang Chen Po-Tsang is a self-taught artist and graphic designer residing in Taipei, Taiwan. His works portrait variety of objects with his observations, ranging from pop culture references to the daily encounters in his life. He depicts his personal insight into the objects he observed, mixing with western and eastern cultures. Also, Influenced by the digital graphic designing education background, his ideas of graphic design merged into his works with oil and acrylic painting methods and create multi-variant strokes and vivid colors on an animation, graffiti, Chinese ink and wash painting inspired outline. To try to evoke and create any possibilities of new look beneath the objects he meets, Po-Tsang continues to explore multifarious emotions of the world with his own designing languages. “I am an autodidact artist. I go on by my own way, and simply hope the work won’t constraint itself in the established conventions of painting methods, but stop developing the possibilities for its new look. I just follow the moment instinct of my personal feelings to develop the works without framing my mental approach to create a different vision to meet the reality by the way I see it, no matter it’s from inner or outer worlds. The same, it would be great if the viewers can benefit from them and have their own interpretations to explore what I didn’t see of myself. That will be definitely a delight of discover.
