Antares is a brilliant red giant star in the constellation of Scorpio. Every now and then Mars would pass close to the star and some ancient observer decided that Mars and the star were rivals. Hence the name of Antares which means the rival of Mars.

I was born into a family filled with actors, artists, composers, conductors, and soloist musicians, which I can trace back to 1835. I studied musicology and conducting yet I wound up as a writer, producer and director in film and television. I worked for Dick Clark Productions, The Johnny (Carson) Company and Paramount Pictures. In 1987 I set off on my own and produced a series of documentaries in association with such diverse organizations as NASA, the AMA and the National Football League. I retired from Show Business in 2007 and have spent the last 12 years creating works of art.
