My name is Gideon Spiegel but I sign my art as "Goodash". I was born and currently resides in Tel Aviv, Israel. I create incomplete stories, where the elements of the image touch, but their relationship is ambiguous. This encourages the viewer to connect the dots and create their own narrative. The framework is visually and emotionally complex, inviting exploration into the beauty within the shadows. For my artwork I may take a digital photo of an interesting object that I have captured with my camera during my many tours. Then I take a painted drawing of mine, scan it to my P.C., blend the two and improve the result digitally. I then may print the result on paper or canvas, and call it “PhotoDraw”. Alternatively, as I have a huge digital collection of deserted walls that I have photographed all over the world, I may digitally hang the “PhotoDraw” on one of my digital walls, print it and call the result “Talking Walls”.
