I live on top of a hill on an Island in Greece; a place of story, fable and myth. The colours all around grab me and here I find my mind can roam wild. The landscape of Greece is a jumble of colours and textures, sometimes glowing browns, yellows and greens, sometimes moody and overcast. Greece is a place with a vitality, an unending palette of colours shifting with the season, the climate and the time. In all kinds of weather I have begun creating in a mixture of digital mediums and I currently accept commissions for pictures. My compositions are mostly impressionistic fluid art pieces some of which are available as limited edition fine art prints. My appreciation of art started early; pencils and paints and cameras were a big part of my youth along with stories of mythical heroes and fairy-tale fortresses. I am unashamedly sentimental. When I was small my father took me to art galleries where I evolved a love for colour and movement. You may protest at this statement but even so I'm going to repeat it. The beginning and the end of all literary activity is the reproduction of the world that surrounds me, by means of the world that is in me. All things being grasped, related, recreated, moulded and reconstructed in a personal form and an original manner. I wish I had said what Renoir had said, "The important elements of a picture can not be defined. Help me explain..." At 56, I don't think about the end much. I've been told that at 80, you think about it a lot. Find me a philosopher to comfort me in my old age. You respect, I love... Thanks for dropping by... Brian.
