We’ve all heard the saying “take time and smell the roses,” I encourge you to take time and zoom focus into the wonderful colors, patterns and shapes of flowers. Be amazed by the intricate designs created by the artistic genius who designed all the flowers in the world. My floral designs celebrate the uplifting energy of color, light, patterns and shapes of the flowers that I encounter on my morning walks. When I am at work, fully focused on my art, it is a transcendent experience - I am “in the zone.” My digital art and paintings are an exploration of light, color and space. The power and energy of color fascinates me as it has the ability to transform the environment and influence our emotions. I experiment and play with color to discover the vibrations and harmonies that color relationships produce. Ruth Katz currently resides in Olympia, WA, having relocated from Los Angeles in 2022. Originally from New York, she obtained her undergraduate degree in art education from the State University of New York before furthering her studies in painting and drawing at the renowned Art Student's League. Her mentors included esteemed artists such as Richard Pousette-Dart and Hughie Lee-Smith. An accomplished painter, Ruth Katz has showcased her work in exhibitions that include New York and Los Angeles galleries. Presently, she is producing digital prints inspired by her original paintings and continuously expanding the boundaries of her artistic expression
