Memory of A Black Man Print - Limited Edition of 15

I had done a model shoot some time ago and was able to capture this black man in many poses. And rather than preent the portrait in a typical manner, I chose to integrate into an abstract background involving elements that suggested a memory he might have. His mother, possibly as a slave, and a picture of a family in a field. I chose the colors initially for no particular reason except I think that they highlight the central elements, and they suggest the richness of his black history and culture. The work involved the use of multiple filters, color manipulations and photoshop brushes (of my own design). I work in photography and photoshop layers and this is the result of my hours of manipulations. I hope that the viewer comes to see the complexity of life history.
