ABOUT THE ARTWORK
NYC ABSTRACTS 112-EMPIRE is inspired by the famous landmark Empire State Building on 34th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. I used abstract textures and patterns to commemorate this magnificent Art Deco building that was the tallest skyscraper in the entire world when built in 1930. Its status was removed when the World Trade Center Twin Towers were built in in 70's. However, the Empire State Building is the most visited building in NYC since its inception.
