ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'Necking' was inspired by a series I did for Minority Africa celebrating 'Lesbian Visibility' week. The use of African fabrics in the background of my silhouette images is a new aesthetic that's very true to my Yoruba roots and reminiscent of my childhood memories where I was groomed by my Maami (a yoruba word of endearment for grandmother).
