ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A black bird takes wing above wintry trees, celebrating her joy of the first snow as the rest of her flock looks on (no doubt thinking she's nutso just like my friends do when I express my obsessive and undying love for all things snow). I used a color palette of icy blue hues, navy, black, and white for my winter fantasy digital soft pastel painting. Dedicated to my Twitter bud Philadelphia's NBC 10 meteorologist Bill Henley, mostly because I've run out of ways to bribe him for some serious snowfall and I'm getting desperate. Your move Billby. Edit: After seeing his dedication Bill has assured me "it won't be long now." I dunno, I can't shake the feeling he's just trying to placate me.

Though my work manifests itself in many different ways, from the delicate transparency of digital watercolor, to the no-holds-barred starkness of noir photography, to even the fanciful abstract-turned-conceptual properties of my fractal art, the undercurrent that binds them all is my love of surrealism. I prefer the worlds my mind creates to the one in which I live, and though I create all my art to please myself as a rule, nothing thrills me more than when it speaks to someone else as it does me.
