My art is about the ongoing transformation in the world into an era of more freedom and happiness. We are moving from irrational materialism to spiritual awareness. Words often fail to express this development. All over the world, artists use images to express their intuition about where we are going. I watch this worldwide imaginative communication and try to contribute to it with my own art. I like making art which has a happy vibe and is very suitable as a contribution to a pleasant modern interior design. Some years ago I chose for digital art because it offers great opportunities to create beautiful images for wall decoration. I hope my art will increase your happiness in life. I use digital drawing techniques, not to achieve mathematical perfection, but to create a natural kind of aesthetics. Digital art prints are not just reproductions, but the real thing. I therefore highly recommend Saatchi art prints of my work. Learning and using creative skills has been an important motivation all my life. In my early childhood, living in a beautiful rural area of the Netherlands, my father taught me to look around and admire the views. My uncle, a professional photographer, taught me the secrets of photography and darkroom work. Later I moved to Amsterdam and enrolled at the Hogere Confectie School, an academy for fashion and clothing technology. After graduating I worked a few years in the apparel industry. Meanwhile in my free time I continued making art, mainly photographs but later also acrylic and oil paintings. When the computer became more important I took courses and was professional active in that field as well. With my computer knowhow I also taught myself web design and digital image editing, and started applying these skills in my art.
