This new media print was based on an original piece of artwork Salvage 8, which is a bas-relief mixed media artwork. The starting point for that piece of work was discarded metal foil, which was influenced by the coastlines of Wales. This work has been described as a cross between sculpture and painting with a look of ceramics.
After photographing the original artwork I took it into Photoshop and manipulated the image digitally. Mirror imaging the work creates mystical effects.
