ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Hi, I am a contemporary artist and designer. My artwork is inspired by the Windrush movement during 1947- 1970. The image here is an old photo of my mother in her afro hair in 1975. This image depicts an image of a young woman migrating to Britain from Jamaica in the Windrush era. Britain was hostile towards the Caribbean's, however the Caribbean men and women helped to transform the Great British society.
